Associate Director, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis

The Role:In this role you will support enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, and performance management. Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate FP&A, this role partners with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver insights that inform decision-making, resource allocation, and long-term value creation. The position sits within Corporate Finance and plays a central role in consolidating, analyzing, and communicating financial results.Here’s What You’ll DoLead consolidated budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processesServe as the primary FP&A point of contact for Commercial, R&D, CMC, and G&A, partnering on financial planning and headcount managementAnalyze actual results versus plan and communicate key drivers, risks, and opportunitiesDevelop management reporting, dashboards, and executive-level presentationsSupport month-end close activities in partnership with Accounting, including spend and accrual reviewsOwn companywide labor and benefits forecasting, ensuring alignment between forecasts and actualsSupport strategic initiatives through scenario modeling and investment decision analysisEnhance FP&A processes, tools, and financial models to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalabilityEnsure data integrity and consistency across systems and planning assumptionsHere’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor’s degree in Finances, Accounting, Economics, or related field8+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experienceStrong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilitiesProven experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing decisionsAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with financial planning systemsStrong communication skills, sound judgment, and attention to detailA desire to make an impact as part of a high-growth, transformational company that is Bold, Relentless, Curious, and Collaborative.Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)MBA, CPA, or CFAPrior experience in commercial biopharma or life sciencesHands-on experience with enterprise FP&A tools (e.g., Hyperion EPM, Anaplan)Exposure to long-range planning, portfolio prioritization, or capital allocationDemonstrated ability to lead initiatives and mentor junior team membersExperience working in a matrixed organizationPay & BenefitsAt Moderna, we believe that when you feel your best, you can do your best work. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An individual’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, and business or organizational needs.
