Tax Manager

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead complex tax engagements while serving as a trusted advisor to individuals, business owners, estates, trusts, nonprofit organizations, and closely held businesses. This role combines technical tax expertise, proactive tax planning, client relationship management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who enjoys helping clients make informed financial decisions while mentoring staff and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

Manage and review complex federal, state, and local tax engagements.

Review individual, partnership, S Corporation, C Corporation, fiduciary, estate, trust, and nonprofit tax returns for accuracy and compliance.

Ensure timely completion of tax filings while maintaining high quality standards.

Research and resolve complex tax issues and provide technical guidance.

Develop and implement proactive tax planning strategies for individuals and businesses.

Identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend strategies that support clients' financial objectives.

Provide year-round tax advisory services beyond annual compliance.

Communicate tax law changes and their impact on clients.

Serve as the primary advisor for a portfolio of business and individual clients.

Build and maintain long-term client relationships through exceptional service and strategic guidance.

Conduct client meetings to discuss tax planning, financial performance, and business objectives.

Deliver practical recommendations that support business growth and compliance.

Mentor, coach, and develop tax professionals.

Review staff work and provide technical training and performance feedback.

Assist with engagement planning, workflow management, and quality control.

Promote collaboration and continuous professional development within the tax team.

Support firm leadership with strategic initiatives and practice growth.

Participate in client development and business expansion efforts.

Contribute to succession planning and long-term organizational goals.

Assist in improving internal processes and client service delivery.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

EA or CPA designation required.

Extensive public accounting experience in tax compliance, review, and advisory services.

Strong experience reviewing complex individual and business tax returns.

Proven experience managing client relationships and leading tax engagements.

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Must reside within 30 minutes of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Must be able and willing to commute to the office a minimum of three days per week, regardless of virtual work preferences.
