Overview Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) Travel Assignment in Washington, Iowa, United States. This night-shift position starts on 08/17/2026 for a 13-week assignment in an emergency care setting. The expected pay range is $1,929 to $1,941 per week with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The assignment prioritizes quick onboarding and continuous clinical care in an ER environment. Weekly pay: $1,929–$1,941 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Start date: 08/17/2026 Setting: Emergency care travel assignment Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to ER patients, including rapid assessment and triage of presenting issues Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and promptly address adverse reactions Initiate and adjust treatments per physician direction; respond to acute emergencies with appropriate interventions Monitor and interpret vital signs, perform basic life support as needed, and establish IV access when indicated Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes clearly in the electronic medical record; communicate changes to the care team Collaborate with physicians, nurses, technicians, and support staff to ensure safe, efficient, patient-centered care and timely disposition Requirements Active registered nurse (RN) license BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred ER/acute care experience preferred; ability to work in a fast-paced ER environment Must be able to work night shifts and participate in a weekend rotation as described (every 4th weekend) Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills Willingness to undertake a travel assignment of approximately 13 weeks Benefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support Fast credentialing Nationwide assignments Dedicated support throughout the assignment About Healthforce Healthforce is a nationwide travel healthcare staffing agency connecting travel nurses and allied health professionals with high-quality contract assignments across the United States.
