Front of House Manager

Location: Beacon, NY

We are seeking an experienced and hospitality-driven Front of House Manager to oversee the guest-facing operations of a premier dining and hospitality destination in Beacon, NY. The ideal candidate is a polished, hands-on leader with a passion for exceptional service, team development, and creating memorable guest experiences.

This position will play a key role in leading the front-of-house team, maintaining elevated service standards, and ensuring seamless operations from guest arrival through departure. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth and efficient daily service.
• Lead, coach, and develop servers, bartenders, hosts, runners, bussers, and supervisors.
• Maintain consistently high standards for guest service, hospitality, and restaurant presentation.
• Create an engaging and welcoming atmosphere for guests while ensuring professional service.
• Act as Manager on Duty and provide hands-on leadership during service.
• Manage floor plans, table assignments, reservations, and guest flow.
• Monitor service throughout each shift and proactively address operational issues.
• Train and mentor team members on service standards, menu knowledge, hospitality, and guest engagement.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities and expectations.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Work closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless communication between the kitchen and front of house.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and employee retention.
• Monitor labor and operating costs while maintaining appropriate service levels.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and company policies.
• Support private events, weddings, large parties, and other special functions.
• Maintain strong relationships with repeat guests and help build guest loyalty.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and beverage program responsibilities as needed.
• Provide feedback to senior management regarding operational opportunities and team performance.
• Lead by example and maintain a visible presence throughout the dining room and guest areas.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of front-of-house management experience in a full-service, upscale, or fine-dining environment.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant service and hospitality operations.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a diverse front-of-house team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional appearance and polished guest-facing presence.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in a busy, high-pressure environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
• Experience with private events, weddings, or large-scale functions is a plus.
• Beverage knowledge and wine experience are highly desirable.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
