SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a technical expert, analyst, and integrator possessing advanced knowledge of Material Management and Supply Chain Operations within the Air Education and Training Command (AETC), operational command staff responsible for developing Air Force personnel and training weapon systems. Learn more about this agency Duties Help Manages AETC Supply Chain Management for assigned Weapon Systems. Serves as the technical authority and advisor on Material Management and supply chain operations for AETC, providing technical guidance to command leaders and subordinate units. Provides command management direction relative to general supply support to all AETC and tenant units. Performs as an Action Officer. Prepares and delivers both written and oral presentations of a senior-level nature, including reports, briefings, and training sessions, to foster collaboration and address complex issues. - Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
- Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays.
- Air Force Material Management experience is desired.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or Shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours.
