Security Guard - Hillsville Nightshift

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Responsible for monitoring all persons and/or vehicles entering or leaving facility property. We offer a full suite of benefits ranging from: Hourly rate is negotiable depending on years of experience, education, and other factors. The general hourly pay range for this role is $14-$17.87. This role does offer a shift differential of $2/hour for hours worked at night and $3/hour on weekends. Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Holidays Paid Time Off

Company Paid Basic Life & AD&D Disability 401(k) Retirement Plan - with company match Employee Assistance Program/Employee Discount Program Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist, direct and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility property. Keep accurate log books, as required. Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and maintain flow of traffic during emergencies, such as fire drills. Communicate incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff. Monitor parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, monitor lobby area and do frequent sweeps of the entire facility. Interact with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times. Report any suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor or a member of leadership.

Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent required. Two or more years’ experience in security, corrections or military.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

Valid state driver's license. CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). First aid may be required based on state or facility.
