Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Empower high school students and make a profound impact as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time contract position offers the unique opportunity to support a manageable caseload of 8 students in grades 9 through 12. You’ll collaborate with a forward-thinking team and help provide meaningful educational experiences tailored to each student’s needs over the course of the academic year from August 13, 2026, to June 9, 2027.
What You’ll Bring:
- Valid and active California Special Education Teaching Credential (required)
- Experience working with high school students, particularly in mild/moderate (M/S) environments, is highly valued
- Ability to adapt lessons and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning and behavioral challenges
- Collaborative mindset for working with staff, families, and parents to create inclusive support plans
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Commitment to fostering an adaptive, positive, and engaging learning environment
What You’ll Do:
- Design and implement individualized educational programs for high school students on your caseload
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support personnel to provide an inclusive academic experience
- Monitor progress and make instructional adjustments based on data and student response
- Maintain compliance with all documentation and reporting requirements
- Serve as a strong advocate, ensuring each student’s strengths and needs are recognized
