This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to work on a diverse portfolio of land development projects throughout Southern Maryland and the Washington metropolitan region while collaborating with experienced engineers, planners, surveyors, and landscape architects. We are looking for a career-driven professional who enjoys technical problem-solving, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is eager to expand their experience across a variety of project types and disciplines. What You'll Do As a Site / Civil Engineer II, you will contribute to the planning, design, permitting, and construction support of residential, commercial, mixed-use, and public-sector development projects. Key responsibilities include: Prepare site and civil engineering design documents and construction plans Develop site grading, roadway, storm drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and water and sewer infrastructure designs Create project graphics, exhibits, and technical drawings Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subconsultants, clients, and regulatory agencies Assist in the preparation of technical reports, memorandums, and project documentation Support multiple concurrent projects while meeting schedules and project budgets Participate in design reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams Mentor and assist junior design staff as experience grows Contribute to successful project delivery from concept through construction What You'll Bring Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering 2-5 years of progressive experience in site/civil engineering and land development design Experience with land development projects in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and deadlines Experience in Charles County, Prince George's County, St. Mary's County, or Montgomery County is preferred Maryland PE license is preferred but not required Preferred Technical Experience Candidates with experience using the following software will stand out: AutoCAD and/or MicroStation Microsoft Office Suite MS Project
