General Laborer – ManufacturingLocation: 2251 Manchester Road  Erie, PA 16506Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PMStatus: Full-Time | Hourly | Non-Exempt Join a Growing Manufacturing TeamSolenoid Solutions, a Control Devices company, is growing and looking for a dependable, hardworking General Laborer to support our manufacturing operations. If you enjoy staying active, working with your hands, operating equipment, and being part of a team that values safety and quality, we'd love to meet you.In this role, you'll help keep our machining operations running efficiently by supporting production, moving materials, maintaining an organized facility, and assisting with daily manufacturing activities.What You'll DoAs a General Laborer, you'll play a key role in supporting our machining department by: Complete scheduled preventive maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, oil changes, coolant refills, and conveyor removal/reinstallation.Remove chips and debris from machines using compressed air and other tools.Operate an overhead crane to safely assist with maintenance activities.Clean up oil and coolant spills and maintain an organized work area.Operating forklifts and overhead cranes to safely move materialsLoading and unloading incoming and outgoing productsAssisting CNC operators with offloading finished partsWashing parts using established proceduresKeeping raw material storage organized and stockedEmptying and organizing metal chip binsWeighing and recording outgoing scrap materialsCleaning machinery and maintaining a safe, organized production floorOperating floor scrubbers and general cleaning equipmentPerforming routine preventative maintenance cleanoutsUsing measuring gages to inspect parts when neededFollowing all quality, safety, and manufacturing proceduresIdentifying quality concerns and stopping production when necessaryWorking overtime as business needs requireWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is:Reliable with a strong work ethicSafety-mindedComfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentA team player willing to help wherever neededDetail-oriented and organizedAble to solve problems and work independentlyQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredManufacturing or industrial experience preferredForklift experience preferredOverhead crane experience is a plusAbility to read measuring gages and perform basic inspectionsBasic math skills including decimals, measurements, weights, and calculationsStrong verbal communication skillsPhysical RequirementsThis is an active position requiring you to:Stand and walk for extended periodsFrequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reachLift up to 50 poundsUse your hands continuously throughout the shiftWork safely around machinery and industrial equipmentIf you're looking for an opportunity to join a growing manufacturing team where your work makes a difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.
