LJW Solutions is partnering with a prestigious Am Law 100 law firm seeking talented Corporate/M&A Associates to join its growing transactional practice in Chicago.

This is an excellent opportunity for ambitious attorneys to join a highly regarded national platform, advising sophisticated corporate clients, investors and businesses on complex transactions.

We are recruiting for two positions

• Midlevel Corporate Associate: 3–4 years' relevant transactional experience.
• Senior Corporate Associate: 5–7 years' relevant transactional experience.

The Opportunity

Successful candidates will join an established Corporate/M&A practice, working alongside experienced attorneys on sophisticated transactional matters.

The role offers exposure to high-quality clients, complex transactions and opportunities for continued professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions.
• Draft, review and negotiate transactional agreements and supporting documentation.
• Conduct and coordinate legal due diligence.
• Assist with transaction structuring, negotiations and closing processes.
• Work collaboratively with partners, associates and clients throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Provide commercially focused legal advice and support on corporate matters.

Candidate Requirements

• 3–7 years' relevant corporate transactional experience , depending on the position.
• Demonstrable experience handling M&A transactions is essential.
• Strong academic and professional credentials.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a sophisticated transactional practice.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, commercially minded approach.
