About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required. First-time travelers accepted. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: Specific certifications may be required. Must-Have: - Previous charge experience. - Patient ratio experience. - Familiarity with a charting system. - Experience in a Community Client setting. - Candidates may need to float within the facility based on census. Description: This position involves working in a step-down unit. The role requires a focus on telemetry nursing. You will provide care for patients transitioning from higher levels of care. Staffing and scheduling details will be provided upon hire. Patient age groups will vary, and experience with diverse patient demographics is beneficial. Prior experience in a long-term acute care (LTAC) setting is a plus. Team collaboration and interdisciplinary support are essential components of this role. Candidates should possess strong assessment skills and be comfortable utilizing a charting system. Clinical competencies in managing step-down patients will be required. All specified modules and training will take place during orientation.
