As a DC Assistant Manager (Area Manager) at Bob's Discount Furniture, you will oversee the daily operations of an assigned warehouse area, ensuring efficiency, safety, and engagement. This role is key to maintaining production goals, supporting associates, and fostering a strong safety culture. You will partner with Operations and HR leadership to drive results, coach employees, and support business needs in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Core Competencies & Expertise

• Warehouse operations leadership with focus on safety, performance, and labor management
• Ability to monitor and achieve production goals (daily, weekly, monthly)
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (preferably SAP)
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
• Effective coaching, feedback, and performance management of associates
• Time record validation and workforce scheduling

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and listening
• Multi-tasking abilities with attention to quality and accuracy

• Ability to physically support warehouse activities when required

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience, including at least 2 years in a lead/supervisory role
• Experience with SAP or other warehouse management systems
• Ability to stand and walk up to 80% of the time

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing and walking throughout the distribution center
• Ability to support warehouse tasks with direct labor when needed
• Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
