Responsibilities The River Birch Heavy equipment operator's main task during their workday is to operate a dozer, excavator, motor grader, off-road dump truck, road grader, compactor, EPI cover machine, tipper or any other equipment that may be necessary. Heavy equipment operators will be expected to safely complete assignments within acceptable work standards with a minimum amount of supervision. Safety is an important part of our operation. All employees are required to wear all appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, safety glasses, steel toe boots, reflective vest). Qualifications Any experience in the following equipment required: excavator, motor grader, off-road dump truck, road grader. Must be able to operate an excavator. Be able to lift 50 pounds. Be able to read and write English. Be able to operate equipment safely and in an efficient manner. Be able to work in equipment that vibrates. Be able to handle stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace. Work in hot, cold, or rainy weather. Be able to climb on equipment. Get underneath equipment. Keep the work area clean.
