Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital position requiring a WA state license and at least 1 year of experience in a critical access hospital setting.

Details

• Acute care setting at a critical access hospital with 23 total staff beds
• Primarily inpatient therapy with potential to float to sister facilities in Colville and Spokane based on need and therapist ability
• 0.6 FTE position, approximately 24 hours per week, Monday-Friday with flexibility for Tuesday-Friday schedules
• Day shift, 3x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Typical caseload ratio of 1:5-10 patients
• No call, weekend, or block scheduling requirements
• Charting completed in Epic (experience preferred)

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care physical therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Washington state PT license required (compact license required in hand at time of consideration) - license required if applicable
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Experience treating orthopedic, neurologic, geriatric, and cardiopulmonary patient populations preferred
• Familiarity with equipment such as gait belts, walkers, Hoyer lifts, and hospital beds preferred
• Skilled in patient assessment, documentation, and discharge planning

Additional Information

• Facility is a rural, critical access hospital with lower patient census that may fluctuate FTE up to 0.75 during high census periods
• Only PT position at this location, with another therapist covering weekend and Monday shifts as needed
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during consideration; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• Scrub color is unrestricted for all RN/Allied staff
• No parking fees at this facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required prior to start
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities and refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
