This position plays a critical role in coordinating patient care by managing prior authorizations, scheduling procedures, and ensuring seamless communication between providers, patients, insurance carriers, and surgery centers.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in delivering excellent patient service while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.ScheduleMonday – Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.No nights or weekendsBenefitsBenefits available include:Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceLife InsuranceDisability Insurance401(k) with Employer MatchPaid Time Off (PTO) eligibility after 90 daysEssential ResponsibilitiesSubmit, track, and manage prior authorizations for procedures, imaging, medications, and specialty treatmentsCoordinate outpatient procedures and surgery center schedulingVerify insurance eligibility and authorization requirementsCommunicate with insurance carriers regarding approvals, denials, and appealsSchedule new patient, follow-up, and post-procedure appointmentsProvide patients with pre-procedure instructions and scheduling supportCoordinate with providers, medical assistants, front office staff, and billing teamsMaintain accurate scheduling and authorization documentation within the EHR systemAssist with schedule optimization, cancellations, reschedules, and waitlistsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required2+ years of medical scheduling, insurance authorization, or healthcare administrative experience preferredExperience in pain management, orthopedics, surgery scheduling, or specialty healthcare strongly preferredExperience with ModMed or other Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems preferredStrong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills requiredBenefitsAt The Spine and Pain Center, we believe in taking care of the people who take care of our patients.
