Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a NICU night shift position requiring at least 1 year of recent acute care RRT hospital experience.

Details

• Work in the Respiratory Therapy unit of a large acute care hospital with 502 beds
• Unit staffed with 8-10 clinical RTs plus a charge RT per shift
• Patient ratio of 10:1
• Utilizes Hamilton G5 and C1 ventilators
• Meditech EMR used for charting
• Night shift hours from 5:30 PM to 6:00 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• Performs breathing treatments and ventilator assessments

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care RRT hospital experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• NICU/PEDS experience preferred
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver respiratory care to neonatal patients in a high-acuity NICU setting
• Work as part of a collaborative team including charge RTs and clinical staff
• Ideal candidates are high-energy, patient-focused, and interested in critical care
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
