Dishwasher – Part Time
hed NYC (461 W 23rd St, West Chelsea, Manhattan)
hed NYC, a modern Thai restaurant in West Chelsea, is looking for a reliable part-time Dishwasher/Porter to help keep our kitchen and dining spaces spotless. This role is focused primarily on maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant, with occasional dishwashing support during service.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain overall cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and back-of-house areas throughout each shift
- Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors, counters, and equipment
- Wash dishes, glassware, and utensils as needed during busy service periods
- Empty trash and recycling, and keep storage areas organized
- Assist with basic kitchen prep or setup/breakdown tasks as directed
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen cleaning/porter role preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30-40 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings/weekends as scheduled
- Team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic
Compensation: $17.00–$20.00/hour, plus tips
