Lead Engineer Water Systems

We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer for Water Systems to drive growth and success of our Water/Wastewater practice in Idaho and/or Washington. This role involves technical leadership, business development, and team management, overseeing planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater projects while building client relationships and mentoring engineers.ResponsibilitiesDrive business development, deliver projects, and expand client base for Water/Wastewater Group, working closely with team members and senior management.Lead in designing water treatment and distribution systems along with wastewater treatment and collection systems.Market, build relationships, secure new work, and deliver exceptional service to clients.Build, lead, and grow a team to manage workload demands and mentor staff on client care, business development, and technical skills.Perform engineering computations and oversee engineering software/equipment usage for design documents.Write technical documents tailored to various audiences and coordinate with agencies and professionals for design information.Exercise discretion and judgment in work tasks, applying company's standards and best practices.Maintain industry involvement and lead internal technical teams while managing projects and client expectations.QualificationsBS/BA in Engineering or related field with 10+ years of experience.Professional Engineer (PE) license in Idaho or Washington, or ability to obtain within six months of hire.Experience directing and growing water/wastewater engineering efforts ideally within Idaho and/or Washington.10+ years partnering with communities on water and wastewater challenges.Ability to work independently and collaboratively, offering feedback to support team goals.Strong work ethic and knowledge of engineering principles.Valid driver's license with clean driving record.Benefits & CompensationCompetitive salaryBonus pay for billable overtime hoursAdditional bonus opportunities401(k) plans with immediate company matchFully paid health insurance for employees (medical, dental, vision)Paid life insurancePaid short- and long-term disability insurancePaid holidays, sick time, and vacationFamily-friendly work environmentStudent loan repayment programFirst-time homebuyer assistance programParental leave
