Ultrasound Technician

Associate or bachelor’s Degree in in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from an accredited sonography program.

Must hold credential in abdominal sonography and be a register sonographer by the ARDMS

Sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, hearing, listening, speaking, reaching, pushing, pulling, finger dexterity and/or feeling, and near vision. Willing to travel.

· Proficiently operate ultrasound equipment to perform ultrasounds of the kidneys and bladder, scrotum, and prostate.

o Accurately differentiates between normal and pathological findings.

o Review the patient's medical record to obtain necessary clinical information including patient history, lab results, and radiology reports.

o Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and assist with procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic information.

o Accurately identify and label/annotate images. Communicate results of diagnostic examinations to the interpreting physician.

o Assist in the clinic which may include but not limited to: rooming patients, urine dip stick testing, and assisting with minor procedure with provider.

o Assisting with prostate biopsy procedure which includes the following task

· Preparing specimen containers prior to prostate biopsy procedure
