Workers' Compensation Claims Handler (In Plant)

Workers' Compensation Claims Handler at the Plant with a focus on excellent customer service, quality claims handling, and loss cost management.

·         Set up and enter new claims into claim management system, ensuring claim coding is correct and files are properly documented.

·         Perform critical claim technical tasks including plant investigations and 3-point contacts.

·         Interview claimants, employers, medical professionals, legal counsel and witnesses and prepare thorough investigation summaries.

·         Prepare files for outside counsel.

·         Assist in management of all elements of claim files to reduce or maintain medical costs, lost time duration and litigation expenses.

·         Participate in case management meetings and collaborate with Medical, Human Resources and Labor to facilitate a return to-work plan for workers’ compensation and related absences.

·         Supports other claim representatives with larger or more complex claims as necessary.

·         Process medical and related expense payments

Skills Required:

·         Workers' Compensation

Experience Required:

·         1-3 years of related Workers' Compensation experience

Education Required:

·         High School Diploma / GED

Education Preferred:

·         Bachelor's Degree
