Quality Engineer

Quality EngineerMiele Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to support operations at the Opelika Plant. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of production processes, components, and finished products by identifying issues, conducting analysis, and implementing sustainable solutions that support continuous improvement.ResponsibilitiesConduct quality assurance of production processes and suppliers by identifying, evaluating, and resolving quality deviationsPerform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions (e.g., 8D, escalation, claims, and complaint management)Design and conduct quality checks across production processes, including:Incoming goods inspectionFunctional testing of products, modules, and componentsEndurance and reliability testingProcess capability control (SPC)Regular measurements (destructive and non-destructive)Coordinate and participate in change management processesSupport special product releases in collaboration with procurement, production, operations, and R&DContribute to quality assurance, supplier selection, and supplier development processesConduct advanced quality planning (e.g., FMEA, QFS) during product developmentEnsure proper certification and calibration of measurement equipmentProvide quality and process expertise across departments and support cross-functional teamsCollaborate with internal teams, external partners, and global stakeholders as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Control Systems, or a related field requiredPrevious experience in product quality control preferredKnowledge of SAP preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively across teamsExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityPassion for continuous improvement and process optimizationWork EnvironmentFast-paced manufacturing environmentFrequent collaboration with cross-functional teamsInvolvement in both local and international operations Opelika Chamber of Commerce
