Leadpoint and The Solid Waste Dept is seeking a full-time worker to provide litter control for areas around the recycling facility and keep site in a condition that meets DNR’s regulatory requirements. Duties of this position would include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain areas around landfill and department grounds to eliminate wind-blown trash that accumulates on fences, open land, lawns, and in vegetation.
• Maintain lawn areas around department grounds.
• Operate gas-powered vacuum device, departments UTV, and other gas-powered equipment not limited to leaf blower, lawn mower, snow blower, and weed eater.
• Operate towable magnet around the site using UTV
• Assist with snow removal using snow blowers, shovels, and salt spreaders
• Clean landfill scales and walkways.
• Assist landfill crews in minor maintenance projects and clean maintenance shops.

Pay rate $18.53/hour

Work Hours: 

Monday - Friday 5:00am to 2:00pm; Occasional Saturdays

Applicants for this position should possess the following

• Good attendance is critical in this role
• Knowledge and ability to perform minor servicing of equipment.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work semi-independently and as a team member.
• Demonstrated ability to comply with appropriate safety rules.
• Demonstrated flexibility in work schedule, especially in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to walk, bend, stoop, lift, carry, push, pull and move objects up to 50 pounds, understanding and utilizing proper body mechanics.
• Ability to budget time and schedule work to effectively complete tasks.
