In this role, you will be a key contributor to the Research team, focusing on the integration and application of novel technologies that enhance our development and commercial processes. This opportunity is designed to provide hands-on experience for students currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program, offering the opportunity to work on innovative projects that align with Moderna's mission to deliver transformative medicines.

Here's What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists to design, develop, and implement technology solutions across various stages of drug development and manufacturing.
  • Assist in the design and testing of automated systems and technologies, ensuring they meet the operational and quality standards required for clinical and commercial production.
  • Support the development of process automation strategies and contribute to the creation of documentation and training materials.
  • Participate in the analysis and troubleshooting of existing systems, providing input on potential improvements and optimizations.
  • Engage in continuous learning through team meetings, training sessions, and project collaboration to stay updated on the latest advancements in applied technologies.

  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles and an eagerness to apply them in real-world scenarios.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • A proactive approach to learning and applying new skills.
  • At Moderna, we are focused on delivering on our mission by enabling talent to thrive. For this role, we are currently unable to offer immigration sponsorship. Candidates must already hold work authorization in US and be able to maintain that status without the need for future sponsorship.
  • This position is site-based, requiring you to be at Moderna's site full-time. This position is not eligible for remote work.

Here's What You'll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

  • GPA of 3.5 on a 4 scale or equivalent.
  • Previous internship/Co-op or project experience related to automation, robotics, or technology development.
  • Familiarity with programming languages or software used in automation and systems engineering.
