Responsibilities The Backup Receiver is responsible for all functions and paperwork receiving. This includes operating machinery such as baler, compactor, and forklift safely; handling receipts and paperwork; maximizing sales potential through proper receiving procedures; and maintaining cleanliness of the receiving area. This position works in a fast‑paced environment. Qualifications Be at least 18 years of age; possess a high school diploma or GED. Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule that can change as the business requires, including weekends and holidays. Report any receiving discrepancies to Managers and Buyers to rectify problems such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance. Attend all applicable trainings and be able to use or be certified in the use of appropriate equipment; comply with established procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members and store leadership; ability to communicate with service vendors. Must be able to lift and move product weighing up to 60 lbs. and up to 30 feet for up to 30 hours without mechanical assistance. Must use pallet jack to horizontally transfer product weighing up to 1000 lbs. requiring force up to 50 lbs. over a distance up to 150 feet for up to 40 hours. Vision required for reviewing invoices and monitoring incoming product. Ability to perform simple math operations and multi‑task, understand proper retail receiving, and basic computer knowledge. Able to execute other duties as needed. Pay Range The pay range for this position is $17.20 - $23.20 per hour.
