Business Development Analyst

Role Purpose Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support identification of new business opportunities. Assist in evaluating target markets, customers, and applications within Critical Materials. Support development of business cases, presentations, and internal recommendations. Track business development opportunities, pipeline activity, and key follow-up actions. Coordinate with internal teams to support customer opportunities and growth initiatives. Prepare materials for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events. Support go‑to‑market planning, reporting, and commercial analytics. Assist with project coordination for externally funded opportunities and related documentation. Develop the business case, value proposition, and initial marketing strategy for emerging programs. Core Competencies Understand market dynamics and financial statements, able to pursue opportunities based on the strength of potential P&L and balance sheet implications Analytical mindset and strong problem‑solving skills. Effective communication and presentation skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional environment. Interest in technical products, markets, and commercial strategy. Experiences/Education - Required Bachelor’s degree in STEM, business, or related field. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Willingness to travel up to 15–20%. 1+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, market analysis, commercial support, or technical industry roles. Experience in materials, chemicals, manufacturing, or other technical industries. Exposure to business development, product management, or sales support. This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $81,894.00-$112,604.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
