4-H Program Assistant

JOB SUMMARY: The York County 4-H Program Assistant supports the planning, implementation, and delivery of the York County 4-H youth development program. Working collaboratively with 4-H staff, volunteers, community partners, youth, and families, the Program Assistant helps provide positive, engaging, and educational experiences that support the mission and goals of 4-H. This position assists with 4-H clubs, educational programs, school enrichment, camps, events, competitions, community outreach, volunteer support, and day-to-day program administration. Other duties as assigned. JOB DUTIES: 50% - Program Management: Deliver/teach the content of the 4-H program to appropriate audiences in York County through club meetings, workshops, trainings, and camps. 50% - Administration: Oversee the coordination and logistics of the York County 4-H program.

EMPLOYEE TYPE: Time-Limited (TLP) Staff Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: JOB KNOWLEDGE Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Not responsible for supervising employees. BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget. ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL: Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
