Pharmacy Manager (Hixson Drug)

Pharmacy Manager duties include:

• Supervising and training pharmacy, such as Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Customer Service Representatives
• Overseeing prescription processes
• Ordering inventory and managing stock to prevent shortages
• Resolving customer concerns to support positive patient experiences
• Communicating with healthcare providers regarding patient medication needs
• Ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws
• Vaccine Administration
• Manage and instruct technicians
• Provide excellent customer service
• Counsel patients on medication related questions
• Interface with insurance to resolve rejections

Pharmacy Manager education and training requirements:

• Missouri Pharmacy License must be active and in good standing
• Immunization Certification required
• Knowledge and implementation of compliance with Missouri pharmacy law
• Ability to administer vaccinations in compliance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
• Knowledge of pharmacy procedures, including medication storage and recalls
• Proficiency with medication therapy management (MTM) to educate patients on their prescriptions
• Familiarity with Good Faith dispensing practices
• Pharmacy Management Experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods, perform visual inspections, use fine motor skills, and occasionally lift light-to-moderate weights.
• Frequently lift 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
