Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:
- RNs will be performing rapid triage, comprehensive patient assessments and stabilization, initiation of treatment plans, medication administration, cardiac monitoring, and assisting with emergency procedures for a diverse patient population presenting a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries, including minor to major, complex, traumatic, life-threatening conditions requiring emergent intubation, cardiac complaints, complex infections, psychiatric emergencies, and other resuscitation for life-saving care to critically injured patients.
- Preferred RN experience with Cerner system documentation.
- Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
- Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.
- Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience in a Level 1 Trauma Institution in a metropolitan city with a diverse population.
- AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS, NIHSS Certification,
- MAB or CPI, LA City Fire and Life Safety card (must be LA City),
- Completion of the LA County Employee Health Clearance prior to the assignment start date.
- Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
- Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements ) .
