Location: San Diego, CA
Start Date: 07/20/2026
End Date/Duration: 1-year commitment with potential to extend up to 5 years
Shift: Days, Monday - Friday, 0600-1800
Hours/Week: 40
Employment Type: Full-time
License/Certs: Active CA medical license, ABMS or AOA certification, Current BLS required
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Internal Medicine preferred
Hourly Pay Rate: $175/hour

What You'll Do
- Provide outpatient internal medicine services to adult patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of acute and chronic conditions
- Conduct physical exams, health assessments, and patient education
- Order and interpret labs and imaging
- Prescribe and manage medications
- Collaborate with specialists and healthcare team members
- Supervise medical students, interns, and residents
- Document all patient interactions in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing medical education
- Act as a primary care provider for preventive and chronic disease management
What You Need
Required:
- MD or DO from an accredited U.S., Canada, or approved international medical school with ECFMG certification
- Completion of ACGME-accredited residency in Internal Medicine
- Active, unrestricted California medical license
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC
Preferred:
- Outpatient primary care experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
