This is a contract position with guaranteed hours. Schedule Shift: 3 PM - 3 AM with a mid-shift schedule; as early as 10 AM to 10:30 PM, as late as 1 PM to 1:30 AM. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a Level 2 Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency and trauma care, alongside certifications necessary for patient care in a critical environment. You will be instrumental in providing high-quality medical care in dynamic and often high-pressure situations. Responsibilities Provide patient-centered care in emergency situations, assessing and prioritizing patient needs. Utilize advanced trauma and emergency care techniques encompassed within Level 2 trauma center protocols. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management. Adhere to best practices using the AIDET framework for patient interactions. Maintain accurate documentation in the Meditech system. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years experience in an Emergency Department or Level 2 Trauma Center. Certification in ACLS, BLS, ENPC (or PALS), TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale. Preferred certifications include CEN or TCRN. Knowledge of trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis management, and triage.
