The Physical Therapist will examine the patient’s medical history, evaluating their physical abilities and determine their potential to respond to therapy and develop a comprehensive treatment plan while integrating company values into daily practice. *This role is **PRN** and will work **day shifts** as needed;* ideally we are looking for candidates with weekend availability.**Job Duties include, but are not limited to:*** Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and establishes plan of care; also evaluates the efficacy of treatment, modifying if necessary. Conducts all therapy practice within defined standards of care.* Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans in accordance with Hospital requirements and established guidelines. Regularly updates documentation and maintains prescriptions and signature. Doing so in a timely manner* Coordinates, delegates, and supervises responsibilities assigned to support staff.* Coordinates with interdisciplinary team on patient needs, treatment modifications, and progress including preparing plan for discharge.* Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions. Complies with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Prevention standards.* May be required to work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies.**Requirements for consideration:*** A minimum of 2 (two) years’ experience in inpatient hospital setting, inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.* Current state license as a Physical Therapist in good standing is required.* Current BLS/CPR certification required.**Physical Requirements Over the Course of a Shift:*** A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time.* Both gross and precise motor functions.* Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs.* Possible exposure to bodily fluids..* Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care.* Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment.* Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.*We value our employee’s skills, talents and input.
