Job Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Location: Overland Park, KS
Type: Full-Time/ Permanent
Shift & Schedule:
Day Shift: 5 x 8-Hour Shifts | Start Time: 6:45 AM
Night Shift: 3 x 12-Hour Shifts | Start Time: 7:00 PM
Pay: Up to $46/hr
Night Shift Differential: $4/hr
Relocation Assistance: Available on a Case-by-Case Basis

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Surgery / Operating Room for an exciting Local job in Overland Park, KS.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients prior to surgery.

• Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and perioperative care.

• Prepare patients for surgery, including IV therapy, medication administration, and surgical site verification.

• Participate in surgical safety protocols, including briefings, time-outs, debriefings, and universal protocols.

• Monitor and respond to patient emergencies.

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care using evidence-based practices.

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.

• Assess, monitor, document, and communicate changes in patient condition.

• Provide discharge and follow-up education to patients and caregivers.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Kansas.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).

• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience.

• Scrub and Circulating experience.

• Acute Care experience.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center.

• Strong perioperative nursing and patient assessment skills.

• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
