APRN / PA Urgent Care

Florida Health Care Plans, a large multi-specialty staff model HMO, is seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner This position is three 12-hour shifts / 36 hours weekly, with a rotating 4-hour shift on Saturday. Our Extended Hours Care Centers are open 7 am-7pm, Monday – Friday, and 8am-12pm on Saturday. The APRN shall provide necessary and appropriate urgent care services, within the scope of their training and experience. Responsibilities and expectations to include the following: Provides care to patients across all age groups Ability to treat Urgent Care presentations: (Chest Pain, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, etc.) Foreign body removal Laceration repair, Suturing skills Abscess I & D Diagnose, treat, & splint fractures DOT Certification Professional examination experience (i.e. Firefighter’s physical, etc.) preferred Epic EMR experience a plus Worker’s Comp Experience preferred Qualifications APRN License Minimum 3 years’ post licensing experience, working independently, in family medicine, urgent care clinics or a combination Graduate of an accredited APRN program DEA license Compensation Details Competitive salary Bonus opportunity 401(K) Tax Deferred Plan HMO Health Benefits for provider & eligible dependents Group Term Life Group Disability · Malpractice Insurance Paid Leave Time CME Allowance & Days Licenses Reimbursed Travel Reimbursed Employment Type: Full Time Bonus/Commission: No
