Salary: $18 $24 per hour (based on experience)
Medstaff Group is currently seeking an experienced and dependable Phlebotomist for a growing outpatient healthcare practice located in Riverhead, NY.
We are looking for someone who is professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient medical environment. The ideal candidate should have strong phlebotomy skills, experience handling and processing specimens correctly, and the ability to provide excellent patient care to a diverse patient population.
Spanish-speaking candidates are required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and blood draws accurately and efficiently
- Properly label, handle, and prepare laboratory specimens and vials
- Ensure all specimens are processed and documented correctly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
- Assist with patient intake and basic clinical support when needed
- Work collaboratively with providers, medical assistants, and front desk staff
- Accurately document patient information within the EMR system
Requirements
- Previous phlebotomy experience required
- Strong experience with blood draws and specimen collection
- Knowledge of laboratory vials, specimen handling, and processing procedures
- Spanish-speaking required
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning hours consistently
