Overview Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens Travel Nursing Job in Louisville, KY Advance your nursing career as a Cath Lab RN with a locum tenens travel opportunity at a leading academic medical center in downtown Louisville, Kentucky (40202). This healthcare job offers hands-on experience in cardiac catheterization, working alongside an innovative cardiac care team in one of Kentucky's top hospitals. Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care during cardiac catheterization procedures (1:1 patient ratio in procedure room). Operate and monitor imaging and specialized cardiac equipment. Accurately document procedures and patient data using McKesson Cardiology and Cerner EMR. Participate in call rotation, responding to urgent cardiac cases as scheduled. Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Float between cardiac labs to support team coverage and clinical operations. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations. Qualifications Active Kentucky RN license required. ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association). Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Cath Lab Registered Nurse. Proficiency with McKesson and Cerner EMR systems. Ability to float between cardiac labs as needed. Preferred: Structural heart experience; scrubbing or monitoring experience in cardiac procedures. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and clinical skills.
