LPN. Primary Care - Krauss Internal Med - FT Day

Job Overview Responsible for assisting with daily clinical activities under the supervision of the physician, RN, and/or nurse practitioner providing primary care services. Responsibilities Comply with established patient care guidelines, maintain clinic policies, procedures, and objectives. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality, and abide by communication policy with regard to age‑specific populations. Accurately obtain, organize, and record necessary patient data. Update all patient records with clinical information from physicians, nurse practitioners, including labs, etc., and assist in maintaining pertinent records. Assist physicians, RNs, and nurse practitioners with procedures as needed. Perform day‑to‑day clinical operations under supervision. Help maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients and staff. Perform limited‑scope X‑ray duties in accordance with state regulations as needed. Perform other job functions as assigned or requested. Education / Formal Training Required: Technical Degree or Diploma in Nursing. Work Experience Preferred: No prior work experience. Licenses & Certifications Basic Life Support – American Heart Association. Licensed Practical Nurse – Tennessee, Tennessee Board of Nursing. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with patients, families, and physicians in a professional manner. Ability to begin patient visits with eye contact, smile, greeting, and use patient's name. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Computer skills: successful navigation of the EMR with appropriate documentation. Ability to review computer reports following evidence‑based guidelines. Ability to react quickly to emergency situations. Supervision No supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this position. Physical Demands The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Requires good balance and coordination. Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently. Requires close visual acuity for assessing patients, preparing/ analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, or extensive reading. Frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact. Exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous or poisonous materials. #J-18808-Ljbffr
