Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Strong ICU experience Titrating drips Experience with patients on ventilators and BiPAP Description: Unit Information: Number of Beds: 10 Number of Staff: 4 Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse and RNs based on census Night Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse and RNs based on census Patient Ratios: 2:1 Type of Equipment: Ventilators, CRRT, A-line, BiPAP, Flow-track, IV pumps Electronic Medical Record: Meditech Typical Procedures: Care of critically ill patients Total patient care, including turning, titrating drips, dressing changes, and tracheostomy care Best Personality Fit: Compassionate individuals Ability to work well with others Good rapport with physicians Floating Areas: All ICUs, PCU, BMT Dress Code: Blue scrubs Unit Guidelines: Report at designated times Clock in/out for lunch Total care of critically ill patients Rotating weekends No on-call required
