Electrical Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed electrical design for small to mid-scale projects, including load calculations, short circuit studies, voltage drop calculations, coordination studies, and equipment specifications.
• Prepare and review drawing mark-ups while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and applicable electrical codes.
• Conduct design reviews for large projects to ensure system compatibility, constructability, and conformance.
• Provide field inspection and engineering support for electrical, fire alarm, security, data/telecom, and instrumentation & control installations.
• Review electrical power distribution, fire alarm, security, and instrumentation drawings.
• Identify, scope, and manage energy conservation initiatives.
• Troubleshoot electrical power quality issues and provide technical support to maintenance teams.
• Manage electrical and facility-related engineering projects from initiation through implementation.
• Serve as the technical subject matter expert for electrical utility systems and recommend corrective actions for system bottlenecks.
• Support permit applications by providing technical documentation related to electrical systems.
• Review and approve updates to electrical drawings and engineering change records impacting validated systems.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and industrial electrical systems.
• Knowledge of the complete project lifecycle, including design, construction, commissioning, and validation.
• Experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments is preferred.
