Finance and Accounting Assistant

Thomasville, GA | $20.00/ Hour

A global furniture manufacturing company is looking for a Finance and Accounting Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will support the finance and accounting team with the day-to-day analysis, reporting, and reconciliation work that keeps the organization's financial operations accurate and on track. This role is a strong entry point into corporate finance, offering hands-on exposure to budgeting, reporting, and accounting processes while working closely with senior finance leaders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing regular financial reports, including income statement summaries, variance analysis, and other schedules requested by finance leadership.
• the annual budgeting and rolling forecast process by gathering data, updating templates, and helping track actuals against plan.
• Compile and organize financial and operational data to support KPI tracking, trend analysis, and ad hoc reporting requests.
• Assist with general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close tasks under the guidance of accounting leadership.
• Help monitor and process transactions related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense tracking as needed.
• Maintain organized, accurate financial records and help document and improve finance team processes and procedures.
• Work with operations, HR, and other departments to gather information needed for financial reporting and analysis.
• Support finance leadership on special projects, system improvements, and process automation initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Prior experience in finance, accounting, or a related analytical role is a plus, but candidates early in their career or new graduates with strong analytical skills are encouraged to apply.
• Strong attention to detail, solid working knowledge of Excel, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to undergo criminal background check
• Clean drug screen

Location: Thomasville, Georgia

Pay Rate: $20.00/ Hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
