Executive Director of Education - Eastern PA

Merakey is seeking an Executive Director of Education for our Merakey Schools located in Eastern, PA.

The Executive Director of Education plays a pivotal role in the overall management and leadership of the organization and their identified Division, responsible for guiding strategic direction of their assigned area, overseeing operations, and driving organizational growth. Reporting to the Senior Executive Director, this position works closely with the senior leadership team, staff, volunteers, and external partners to advance our mission and achieve our goals.

Salary: Up to $110,000 per year

• Program Development, Management & Quality Assurance
  • Provide strategic oversight of multiple educational programs, ensuring exceptional student outcomes, regulatory compliance, program quality, and continuous improvement.
• Financial & Operational Leadership
  • Direct the operational and financial performance of assigned educational programs, including budgeting, resource allocation, staffing, and growth initiatives.
• Leadership & Staff Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop educational leadership teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Community Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with school districts, community partners, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to advance organizational goals and expand educational services.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Special Education, School Administration, Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Health, or a related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory and operational management experience.
• Experience managing multiple educational programs, schools, or departments.
• Experience working within special education, alternative education, private approved schools, or behavioral health educational settings.
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets, strategic planning initiatives, and organizational growth.
• MUST reside in Eastern Pennsylvania and be able to travel to the schools in the assigned area monthly.
