Custodian

The El Pueblo Historical Monument is looking to fill three (3) Custodian positions, pending Civil Service Commission approval. The positions will perform the following duties and responsibilities:


Cleans tile, vinyl and carpeted floors, stairways, hallways, restrooms, office spaces and general areas of El Pueblo facilities to include the Administrative Building, museums, and other interior and exterior spaces. Vacuums all carpeted areas and provides spot treatment as needed. Services, cleans and disinfects all restrooms. Polishes cabinets, furniture and racks. Sweeps, mops, strips and waxes floors, washes walls, empties wastebaskets and trash cans. Cleans lunchrooms and kitchens.


Operates and maintains all cleaning related equipment such as vacuums, electric autoscrubbers, buffing machines and other floor equipment.


Cleans and polishes metal work, door handles or panels, hand railings, and elevator.

Other related custodial cleaning tasks and duties as assigned.
