Responsibilities Evaluate supplier performance, communicate results, develop and implement improvement strategies and tactics. Prepare purchase orders and requests for quotes, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services. Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and reputation. Assist material flow from suppliers through reschedule ins, reschedule outs, expedites, cancellations, issuance of purchase orders, purchase order releases, and requisitions. Resolve contract/purchase order, payment, and quality problems with suppliers. Provide commodity forecast data to suppliers; establish appropriate order lot size and packaging quantities to achieve optimum material flow and inventory objectives. Resolve delivery/receiving problems to ensure shipments arrive on time and address issues related to undelivered goods. Collaborate cross‑functionally on forecasts, NPD projects, reporting, and process improvements. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment or equivalent manufacturing or operations experience. Understanding of inventory control practices, material planning, and production scheduling concepts. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities with strong attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, procurement, or related field. Experience working with an ERP system, preferably Oracle. Prior experience supporting oil & gas equipment or related industry products.
