Job Details Position: Process Engineer Salary: $108,000.00 - $148,500.00 Location: Albany, NY Time Type: Full time Employee Type: Assignee / Regular Travel: Yes, 10% of the time Relocation Eligible: Yes Key Responsibilities Contributor for IMS FEOL projects for Advanced CMOS Logic Design, collect data, analyze and compile reports on significantly complex process engineering experiments for a range of products, within safety guidelines Develop, plan and execute process engineering projects for a range of products Design and implement new technology, products and analytical instrumentation Generate internal and external documentation for presentations, technical reports for integrated products and generate process engineering specifications for integrated products Develop and execute complex technology and engineering projects and lead research and development of new technologies as appropriate Develop innovative solutions as part of proven track record of significant technology contributions Conceive and implement new technology, normally named as primary inventor on critical patents and recognized through awards and/or published papers Education Graduating with a PhD in materials science, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, physics or chemistry, or related field Functional Knowledge Familiar with CMOS integration, FEOL products, and key CMOS modules/processes Demonstrates in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the function Business Expertise Aware of publicly available technical and business direction of key customers and key competitors Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work Problem Solving Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business; requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents Interpersonal Skills Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations Leadership No supervisory responsibilities but provides informal guidance to new team members Impact Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies Equal Opportunity Employer Statement Applied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
