Essential Duties & Responsibilities Inspect equipment for damage and electrical malfunctions Test winding conditions per industry standards/customer specifications Document data on electromagnetic characteristics, operating conditions, and damage Dismantle or strip damaged or unserviceable equipment Prepare reusable parts for rewinding and inspect them for hidden damage Rewind various equipment (three‑phase, DC fields, armatures, wound rotor, transformers) using proper insulating techniques Test rewound equipment per industry standards/customers Complete required paperwork accurately and on time Operate specialized repair and testing equipment (winding machines, test panels, surge testers, core‑loss testers, cut‑off saws, burnout ovens, bake ovens, grinders, crane, forklift, brazing units, dip tanks, VPI systems, handheld tools) Comply with all company policies, procedures, and ISO requirements if applicable Adhere to safety procedures and wear protective gear Maintain a clean and orderly work area Complete all required safety training Perform other duties as directed by supervisor Experience & Skills Successful completion of required training (in‑house/off‑site) Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends as required Valid identification and motor‑vehicle operation in compliance with state/federal requirements Forklift and overhead crane certification Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities Basic mechanic knowledge Basic computer skills Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to read, write, and follow work instructions Effective interface with co‑workers and customers Strong prioritization, organization, and deadline management Team‑player attitude with minimal supervision Education High‑school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum 3 years related training).
