Instructor/Assistant Professor of Clinical Physical Therapy (OPEN RANK)

USC’s Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy invites applicants for a full‑time clinical track faculty position to provide outpatient clinical services in our physical therapy department at Keck Hospital of USC. The role includes direct patient care for multiple populations with an emphasis on the cardiovascular and pulmonary service line, including assessment and recommendations for patients prior to heart/lung transplant and post‑transplant rehabilitation. Other conditions treated include cystic fibrosis, idiopathic lung disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, scleroderma, and pulmonary hypertension. The position also involves program development, lectures, teaching, clinical research, and mentoring. Responsibilities Provide outpatient physical therapy services to cardiovascular and pulmonary patients. Assess and recommend treatment plans prior to and following heart/lung transplant. Treat a range of cardiopulmonary conditions and develop individualized rehab protocols. Participate in program development and curriculum design. Deliver lectures, teach clinical and academic courses, and supervise trainees. Engage in clinical research and contribute to scholarly publications. Mentor students and junior clinicians. Qualifications Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (preferably PhD or DPT). Minimum two years of experience treating cardiovascular and pulmonary patients (preferred). Experience managing patients in an outpatient setting is preferred. Board certification is preferred. Individuals with a Master’s degree will be considered if they have at least three years of relevant experience and expertise. Salary The annual base salary range for this position is $72,000 – $100,000.
