We’re currently looking for a Part-Time Adult Caregiver in Santa Fe, NW (87505)

A wonderful family in Santa Fe (near Canyon Rd) is seeking a compassionate and patient caregiver to support their 78-year-old mother, who is experiencing cognitive decline due to Alzheimer’s and dementia. The role requires someone who can provide gentle encouragement with daily routines, hygiene assistance, and companionship.

Schedule: Any day, Monday-Sunday

• 2 times per week
• 3 to 4 hours per day
• Early afternoons is best, as early as 1 pm

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: Ongoing

Rate: $25–$30 per hour (depending on experience)
1 adult: 78 year old, female

Responsibilities

• Assist with getting out of bed and transitioning into daily activities
• Provide personal hygiene care including bathing, hair washing, toileting, and brushing teeth
• Offer gentle companionship and conversation
• Read aloud or engage in light mental stimulation
• Support with short walks for light exercise and fresh air
• Communicate patiently and compassionately, easing into daily care
• Light housekeeping or meal prep if the client is resting

Requirements

• Gentle, compassionate, and patient approach to care
• Ability to create a calm, supportive environment
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• 2+ years of experience in adult care, home aide, or related field
  • Experience with Alzheimer’s and dementia care
• CPR certified (or willing to obtain certification)
• Ability to pass background check and social media screening
• Provide 2 professional care-related references

Compensation + Benefits

This position pays $25-$30 per hour (based on experience). The family is looking for the best fit for their mother, and this position would be ongoing. 

• Benefits include- guaranteed 6 to 8 hours per week and flexibility in scheduling.
