The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) laws; internal audit processes and best practices; risk and control matrices; and design/operational effectiveness testing. This position would focus on annuity AML compliance testing and internal audit engagements at institutions of various types, including mid-sized banking organizations, MSBs, alternative payment providers (i.e. Fintech organizations), broker/dealers, and asset managers.Responsibilities:Develop, audit, and monitor compliance of BSA/ AML requirements for financial institutions of all sizesExecute across all phases of an audit, including planning, conducting process walkthroughs, developing/executing test procedures, tracking artifacts and reporting on deliverablesSubmit written or oral reports of audit results to senior management and audit committees including findings, analysis, conclusions and recommended actionsBuild and manage relationships with Business Lines across all three lines of defenseBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree3+ years of experience in BSA/ AML/BSA, consulting/advisory, bank internal audit, or compliance testingAbility to travel up to 5% if requested for project(s)Preferred Qualifications:Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (CAMS), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Analyst (CISA) or other relevant professional certificationProficiency with AML/BSA regulatory requirements for retail banking activities, products and servicesUnderstanding of relevant banking regulations and supervisory expectations for large financial institutionsKnowledge and practical use of statistical analytics and testing methodsExperience working in a project environment with top 50 banksExperience working in a professional services or project-based environmentAdvanced verbal and written communication skillsPrior financial services internal audit consulting or financial services third line internal audit experienceStrong understanding of BSA/ AML, sanctions, legal and regulatory environment for financial institutions of all sizes#LI-JB1 #FinancialCrime #InternalAudit #ControlsTesting #RiskConsulting #GoCroweWe expect the candidate to uphold Crowe’s values of Care, Trust, Courage, and Stewardship.
