Electrical Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of electrical projects from initial planning through to completion. The role will involve managing projects across commercial, industrial, infrastructure or building services environments, ensuring that work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards. You will coordinate design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning activities while maintaining clear communication with all project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include preparing project programmes, budgets, forecasts and progress reports; monitoring costs, resources and performance; and identifying and managing risks, variations and technical issues. You will liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams, chair progress meetings and ensure that project documentation is accurate and up to date. You will also oversee site activities, confirm compliance with electrical regulations and relevant standards, and promote a strong culture of health, safety, quality and environmental responsibility. Supporting tender submissions, reviewing technical drawings and specifications, and ensuring effective handover and close-out will also form part of the role.

The successful candidate will have proven experience managing electrical projects and a strong understanding of electrical installation, construction processes, testing and commissioning. A relevant electrical engineering, building services or construction qualification is preferred, together with appropriate project management experience and knowledge of applicable legislation and industry standards. You should be commercially aware, organised and confident managing multiple priorities, with the ability to lead teams and build effective working relationships. Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving and reporting skills are essential. The role may require travel to project sites and the ability to work flexibly to meet project deadlines.
