Strengthening and standardizing finance capabilities across the portfolio is a top strategic priority as the platform continues aggressive growth. Position Overview The Chief Financial Officer – Portfolio Operations will serve as the senior-most finance leader within the value creation team. Acting as the “CFO to the CFOs,” this individual will design and implement a Center of Excellence for financial operations, reporting standards, and M&A execution across the portfolio. This role requires a proven PE-backed CFO with extensive expertise leading add-on acquisitions , post-merger integration, and at least two successful exits . The ideal candidate can operate at the strategic level while also rolling up their sleeves alongside portfolio finance teams to drive results. Key Responsibilities Finance Transformation Leadership: Establish a repeatable financial operating model and scalable infrastructure across portfolio companies M&A Execution: Lead finance workstreams for add-on transactions — from diligence through synergy capture and integration Value-Creation Planning: Partner with CEOs, CFOs, and Operating Partners to enhance cash flow, EBITDA performance, pricing, and working capital Portfolio Oversight: Implement standardized reporting, KPIs, forecasting tools, monthly close cadence, and audit readiness best practices CFO Partnership: Coach, mentor, and directly influence portfolio CFO capabilities to improve execution and financial discipline Board-Level Engagement: Provide guidance on capital structure, exit readiness, and strategic initiatives across all companies Talent Evaluation: Assess and upgrade finance leadership when needed to support scale and transformation Governance + Compliance: Promote control environment maturity while driving speed and accuracy in decision‑making Qualifications Must have been a sitting CFO with 2+ successful exits in private equity–backed environments Extensive hands‑on experience with add‑on M&A , integration playbooks, and systems/process harmonization Proven ability to drive EBITDA growth, operational efficiency, and scalable financial processes Strong leadership presence with the confidence and credibility to influence CEOs, CFOs, and investment leaders Deep understanding of middle‑market operating challenges and value‑creation levers Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred Why Join This is a high‑impact, highly visible executive role — shaping how finance operates across a rapidly scaling portfolio.
