Job Summary

The Teamcenter Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing Siemens Teamcenter PLM solutions that align with business objectives and enterprise IT standards. This role acts as the technical authority for Teamcenter architecture, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing PLM solutions across engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise systems.

The Solutions Architect works closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, IT leadership, and external vendors to translate business requirements into robust PLM architectures and implementation roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of Siemens Teamcenter PLM solutions

• Define end-to-end PLM solution architecture, including data models, integrations, workflows, and customizations

• Serve as the technical authority for Teamcenter configuration, customization, and extension decisions

• Translate business requirements into scalable and supportable technical solutions

• Design integrations between Teamcenter and enterprise systems such as ERP (SAP/Oracle), CAD tools, MES, and other downstream systems

• Establish PLM architecture standards, best practices, and governance models

• Provide guidance and oversight to development, configuration, and implementation teams

• Support upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning initiatives

• Identify risks, technical debt, and improvement opportunities within the PLM landscape

• Collaborate with stakeholders to create PLM roadmaps aligned with business strategy

• Support testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization activities

• Mentor junior architects, developers, and administrators

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

• 7+ years of experience working with Siemens Teamcenter PLM

• Proven experience designing enterprise-level Teamcenter architectures

• Strong understanding of Teamcenter data model, BMIDE, workflows, ACLs, and configuration

• Experience with Teamcenter Active Workspace (AW) configuration and customization

• Hands-on experience with Teamcenter integrations (T4S, SOA/REST, ITK, middleware)

• Knowledge of PLM processes including change management, BOM management, document management, and product configuration

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with specific Teamcenter modules such as Change Management, Manufacturing Process Planner (MPP), Project Management, Product Configurator, or Service Lifecycle Management

• Experience in regulated or complex manufacturing environments (Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Equipment)

• Familiarity with cloud or hybrid PLM deployments

• Experience leading global or multi-site PLM implementations

• Siemens Teamcenter certifications
